If you’re looking for a way to grow your business, you may have attended a tradeshow. Typically participants at a trade show have three broad goals: to build brand awareness; generate new leads; and establish relationships. If you want to accomplish these goals, you’ll need to find a way to make your business stand out from the other exhibitors.
3 Ways to Make Your Trade Show Display Stand Out
1. Think multi-media.
There may be times at a tradeshow when all your employees are engaged with a customer, as new people walk up. Let’s face it: If no one is available to greet and pitch as potential customers come up, they are not likely to stick around and wait. If you have a video playing, however, that may keep them around until one of your reps is freed up. The video can feature your company or perhaps a new service or product that you want to promote. Keep the video looping, so that it plays continuously.
2. Go beyond the brochures with unique props!
Think about the service or merchandise you are marketing. Is there something that you could make into a giant sign or prop to grab people’s attention? A vendor who manufactures and markets handbags, for example, could have a giant purse created. Having a giant prop that people want to take photos with is even better! The more people who stop by, the more people you have an opportunity to promote your business with.
3. Give out the goods!
Who doesn’t love a freebie? If you have items out on your display that are free for customers who come to your booth, more people will come, especially if it’s food. Something as simple as a couple bowls of wrapped candy will attract people to your exhibit. Get a variety of the good brand-name stuff, and consider having one bowl of sugar-free candy as well. Once the people come up and are deciding what they want to pick, you’ll probably have at least 30 seconds to begin a pitch in hopes of them staying.
